Our process starts with an adoption application to get to know your needs and wants in an animal companion. Every animal's temperament is different, even within breeds, so the more information we share, the better placement we can make for you and our animals.

After choosing a dog a home visit is required to ensure that the dog will be a safe and happy member of your household.

After the dog has been chosen by your family an introduction will need to be made with you and your family members, this includes all existing household pets.

Upon finding a Dog that fits with your family, DKRR will accept adoption fees. These fees are as follows: $175 for adults (over 1 year old) and $200 for puppies up to one year (if you choose to use your own vet for spaying and neutering then we will give you a $50 credit).
