Depending on circumstances, some animals need more help than others to become healthy, happy members of a family. Whether due to health issues or behavior issues, it takes funds to make these precious animals whole again.
All DKRR animals are first taken to one of our wonderful vets for a full work up, including spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella), micro chipped, wormed, and are tested for heartworms. All dogs in our care are on heartworm preventative after confirmation they are heart worm negative. If a dog is tested positive for heartworms, we will take him
through the entire treatment until free of heartworms.
